- Reduce the number of items– If you intend to take four shirts or three pairs of jeans, reduce them to half. The same goes for shoes, and shoes can be heavier and bulky items with awkward shapes. Just pack one pair of comfortable walking shoes, and as for the heels, you can try to reach them, but if you can’t, stick to one pair.
- Pack high heels efficiently – If you do decide to take your heels, you should pack them carefully so as not to damage them. Clean and freshen them up before packing and wrap them in a plastic bag and ensure that there is enough protection from all sides, such as clothes and T-shirts.
- Make the most of every inch- Do not waste any space; look for ideas to help you maximize the space. For example, try to fit those socks inside the shoes. It is a great idea to roll up your garments to save some space, and this is an old trick that everyone knows about. Just fold them in a rectangle before rolling them tightly in like a cylinder.
- Invest in packing cubes– Why not buy some packing cubes which are simply great for suitcase organization? Those packing cubes help you make more space in the suitcase and keep you well organized. You can pack all your t-shirts in one cube, your bottoms in another, and so on. Now you can know within seconds where the item you are looking for is and need not unpack the whole suitcase.
- Use Ziplock for toiletries- It is a bad idea to just throw in all the toiletries as that will make your suitcase a lot more disorganized, and some of the liquids might spill out and spoil your clothes and shoes. So, buy some zip-lock bags for your toiletries to keep them organized, prevent spills and save some more space in your suitcase.
