How to Style a Denim Jacket

z

HOW TO STYLE A DENIM JACKET

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of the denim jacket. They're timeless, come in a variety of styles, and can truly pull any outfit together in a pinch. I've been known to throw on a denim jacket over almost anything to justify buying that dress or pretty little top in a store. I adore them so much that I had to dedicate an entire blog post to them. I can't wait to show you all the different ways you can wear your favorite denim jacket.

What Should You Wear With Denim Jacket

1. Denim jacket With Summer Dresses

I almost always wear a denim jacket when I leave the house in a summer dress. Especially if it's late at night. Perfect for when the sun goes down and it starts to get a little cooler. You can also tie it around your waist to add shape. If you're simply getting hot, it's a great solution that also looks good!

A denim jacket, especially a classic fit one that hits at the waist, is super flattering whether you're wearing a mini dress, maxi, or midi. It aids in the formation of a shape in some of the more flowy dresses.

2. Jumpsuit and Rompers

I treat my rompers and jumpsuits in the same way that I do my favorite dresses. It's a fantastic extra layer. For a more casual look, opt for an oversized denim jacket, as I did with this black lace romper.

It dressed it down a bit, which is a great way to use up more of your wardrobe. Or a more fitted classic dark wash one that matched perfectly with my spring floral jumpsuit.

3. Denim Jackets With Fall Dresses

Winter is the one time of year when a denim jacket should really not be worn. Just too chilly. But autumn is a fantastic time to wear those sweater dresses and winter dresses.

To give shape to sweater dresses, I adore adding a denim jacket. even to floral winter dresses. With all those winter dresses in the fall, a denim jacket is a great way to dress things down.

4. Jean jacket with Midi skirts

As a result of how put together it looks, this outfit quickly became one of my favorites.

In order to instantly dress this up, you could also replace the sneakers with a sandal or high heel.

Perfect for a more formal appearance that would be appropriate for a dinner with friends or casual Friday at work.

5. Denim Jacket with Summer Shorts

I live in shorts during the summer. commonly ones made of denim. Which is typically when I include a colorful or printed denim jacket.

However, I enjoy layering a blue jean denim jacket over it when I wear my linen shorts or my black, white, or other denim options.

6. With Non-Denim  Bottoms

Although I personally enjoy wearing khakis, black jeans, and even joggers with a denim jacket, you can totally do denim on denim.

They give your appearances just the right amount of contrast and light. When the weather is in between seasons, this is my go-to outfit combination for spring and fall.

7. Denim jacket with leggings

My attire for travel in the fall. Nothing beats comfy leggings, a cotton t-shirt, and an oversized denim jacket for me when I'm feeling lazy.

Or a denim shacket. It's so cozy and complete looking. On the day of my trip, I always reach for this when I travel. If the weather forecast calls for a cooler day, I'll add a sweatshirt underneath.

With faux leather leggings and a stylish mule or sneaker, you can make this look a little more stylish!

This was it for today. Let me know your packing tips in the comments below. 💓🟈

How to Style Maxi Dresses for Winter

Did you think maxi dresses were only worn in the summer? Think again. Although these floor-length beauties are frequently worn in warmer months, they can also be worn in winter with the right layering.

The thin-strapped, backless varieties might need to wait until next summer, but there are full-sleeved, knitted options that are suitable for chilly temperatures. As a personal shopper, I frequently demonstrate to clients how to make the most of their current items; all you need to do is be creative! Here are some styling suggestions for a maxi dress that will keep you warm, cozy, and just as stylish this winter.

1. Maxi Dress with a Leather Jacket

Finding a jacket to wear over a long dress can be difficult due to its floor-length finish. Cropped coats can also look unflattering, while longline coats can suffocate you in fabric. When worn with maxi dresses, a waist-synching leather jacket looks proportionate and enhances your figure. To complete this rebellious, street style outfit, put on a pair of the must-have combat boots for this season or a pair of white sneakers.

2. Maxi dress with a vest or fur

Choose a knitted or floral long-sleeved maxi dress, and add a sleeveless faux-fur vest or gillet on top for a snug and cozy look. The gillet adds a winter styling element to the dress while giving the look a boho feel. Ankle boots, a winter  fedora, and statement sunglasses will finish off your outfit.

3. Midi dresses

What about midi dresses that are in the middle of these two lengths? Wearing knee-high boots and thick undertights will help keep your legs warm. In the winter, I adore the look of a knit or flouncy midi dress paired with a stunning knee-high boot. For the ideal winter outfit, add a stunning long coat to the ensemble.

4.Turtlenecks

One of the best wintertime strategies for staying warm is layering. For maxi dresses, you can either layer a knit turtleneck jumper on top or wear a thin, thermal turtleneck underneath. Make sure the jumper you're wearing on top isn't too long or too short. See my fashion tip for how to layer a jumper over a dress.

5. Shirt dresses

In the winter, a shirt dress? why not Because it can be styled so many different ways, a shirt dress is the ideal layering item for winter. You can wear a button-down shirt dress fully buttoned, partially buttoned, or open like a long coat!

Wear a turtleneck and leather leggings while leaving the buttons on your shirt undone below the waist. For a distinctive, stylized look, I love to layer a shirt dress over a pair of cropped jeans and ankle boots. For a fantastic layered look, include a shorter outerwear item.

Winter need not be gloomy and miserable. You can continue to wear your vibrant and colorful maxi dresses as the weather gets colder by layering the proper clothing. You will add some color to the otherwise dreary weather. How energizing!

How to pair a dupatta with a salwar suit 7 times better.

Everyone enjoys wearing traditional attire because it makes them look more beautiful and culturally knowledgeable. The end-of-the-year festivals are in season, and most of us like to dress to impress, perhaps in a traditional salwar kameez suit, an Anarkali, or a lehenga. These are some lovely choices, particularly if it is a particular design. But there is one item that has the power to completely alter your perspective—your dupatta.

Indian ethnic clothing is incredibly adaptable. There are countless pattern types and ways to use the same clothing to create various looks. Another illustration of how a plain salwar suit can look lovely with a heavy dupatta draped perfectly is your dupatta.

It's never too late to learn; even at the last minute, you can quickly pick up the most basic styles.

How To Wear Your Dupatta With Salwar Suits in 12 Different Ways

It's never too late to learn; even at the last minute, you can quickly pick up the most basic styles. Starting now, here are 12 different ways to wear a dupatta with salwar suits.

1. The Classic Drape

We must acknowledge the traditional styles before moving on to more intricate styles and designs to pair with your salwar kameez. All you need for a quick and easy way to look stunning is to throw that beauty right across your shoulders. Although most people who frequently wear salwar kameez with dupatta wear it as their go-to look, it might actually be the best for situations where you need to engage in manual labor. When working on something important, it won't bother you. Look effortlessly elegant while working quickly.

2. One-Side Shoulder Drape

A one-side drape promises to let your neck design sparkle and is best suited for Anarkali suits with heavy dupatta. Women frequently display their lehenga blouses in a similar way.

Given that your salwar has intricate zari or heavy embroidery, you might not feel like wearing one at all. However, do you feel that the ensemble as a whole is lacking in some way? That straightforward one-shoulder dupatta drape will give your appearance a striking contrast, draw attention to you even in a crowd, and make you feel good about what you've dressed in.

3. Pleats

Don't worry; creating pleats is much simpler than you might think. Holding the entire width of your dupatta in your extended hand, carefully fold it in half, then in half again, and so on, stopping when the remaining length can no longer be folded. You now have a perfectly pleated dupatta if you carefully check that all the edges are on one side and folded on the other. You wouldn't want all of your hard work to go to waste, so don't forget to pin it on your salwar as well. Here are some of the best ways to display your gorgeous dupatta pleats that you can try out on your own.

  • With that one-shoulder style, let the dupatta hang down to the length of your salwar kameez on the front. Given their significant width and volume, this looks best with an Anarkali suit.
  • This time, let it hang to one side, but not to the extent of your kameez; instead, leave a good amount of space at the back so you can grab a hold of one side and pull it toward you.  Having your dupatta styled in this way is incredibly convenient.

4. Shoulder And Wrist Drape

Consider a situation where you must dress ethnically but occasionally get to show off your dancing skills. In that case, you can choose a gorgeous dupatta with intricate embroidery or design and pin it on each side of your shoulders while draping the other end around your wrist. Salwar chunnis go best with this as they are fairly long and simple to wrap without slipping off.

5. One Side Cowl

For special occasions, we occasionally like to add a more contemporary or Indo-western look to our attire. You can make one simple change that can make a significant difference in place of using traditional dupattas in traditional fashion. In order to make it easier to work, leave the left side open when pinning the dupatta on both of your shoulders.

6. Rajarani Style

Can you already hear a flute's melody? Its common name, the gopi drape, derives from the ancient goddess garb worn by these women. The Rajrani style makes you appear regal at special puja mandaps as well as events and programs. Shararas, Patiala and Punjabi suits, as well as Lehenga Cholis, are appropriate attire for this. You might have to take a few actions. After all, being beautiful requires some work.

  • Your dupatta should be draped like a saree's pallu and tucked in at the front right side waist.
  • The remainder of the left front is brought, and the edge is brought over your left shoulder and firmly pinned up.
  • Keep one side shorter than the other, tucking the shorter side under your waist and letting the longer side hang over your shoulders.
When you want to stand out, this is a simple and quick solution for dupatta draping.

7. Cross Draping

One of the simplest ways to dress up your churidar suit with a dupatta is to do it like this. Wear this over either side of your shoulders by pinning the two lengthwise edges together. Making pleats will improve the appearance because the patterns will fall securely under your thighs, curve over your shoulders, and fall to your waist.

So that's all for today. I hope you enjoyed learning about the top 12 ways to wear a dupatta with a salwar suit.

Have a wonderful day!😍💞

The Most Popular 90s Fashion Trends That Are Currently in Style

The 1990s, arguably the best decade ever, gave us some incredible 90s fashion trends. Some things are coming back in style, some of which I'd prefer to forget, and some of which I'm glad to see. After 30 years, 90s fashion is now experiencing a major comeback, and I am adoring it. So let's look at the fashion trends that aren't going anywhere.

The Best 90s Fashion Trends That Are Now Back in Fashion

1. Dungarees

All styles look great with dungarees or overalls, whether they are short or long. Both boys and girls wore them at the time because they were fashionable and casual. After ten years of being out of fashion, they are back in. You can dress yours up by teaming it with a pair of Dr. Martens or Converse and a cute cropped graphic t-shirt.

Ankle chains are making a major comeback after chokers and scrunchies, and I love it! Believe it or not, ankle chains, which were once worn in a "bohemian Californian" vibe, can now be classy and elegant. These stunning jewelry pieces, which are made of gold or precious stones, are ideal for adding a touch of opulence to your ensemble. Anklets are no longer just for wearing with beachwear; they can also be paired with upscale clothing and high-end footwear.

2. Neon Colors

It's not surprising to see more and more of these colors on store shelves this year because when I think of 90s fashion trends, I always picture vibrant neon colors everywhere. Wearing neon from head to toe may not be in right now, but a little bit of it here and there is. Tops, shoes, and eyeshadow are all simple ways to effortlessly add a little 90s flair.

3. Spaghetti Straps

Spaghetti strap dresses and tops, which were frequently seen on slip dresses, were the ideal go-to outfit in the 90s. They're incredibly feminine and a great way to flaunt your shoulders without being overly revealing. They have recently been seen on the Jenner sisters' Instagram, and they are unquestionably here to stay.

4. Bucket Hats

Bucket hats are unquestionably back, whether you like it or not. They are a great fashion statement as well as a great way to protect yourself from the sun. Models, influencers, and celebrities all adore them because they are available in a wide variety of colors and patterns. They're actually quite useful for bad hair days as well.

5. Tie-dye

Nothing screams summer like a tie-dye t-shirt and a pair of adorable sandals. The beauty of tie-dye t-shirts is that they can practically go with any fashion and can even be created at home. During the lockdown, making your own tie-dye tee a fun activity, but you should also consider recycling some of your wardrobe's unused items.

So this was it for today. I hope you have loved reading about 90s Fashion Trends.

A Simple Guide for Wearing the Iconic Maxi Dress

A wardrobe essential ideal for any occasion or season, the iconic maxi dress has stood the test of time to be the go-to style item for women everywhere. As a simple fashion piece to throw on when you are out of ideas, the maxi dress can hold its own when worn alone but is the ideal candidate to match year-round.

Here’s How to Style The Iconic Maxi Dress

Formal

Maxi dresses are often associated more with casual wear but dressing them up as formal wear is easy and perfect for any time of year. A large part of this has little to do with the dress itself and more with the accessories.

Any floor-length style will automatically be the best choice. Picking darker colors or patterns will keep you looking incredibly chic and comfortable. Adding heels or stylish flats, a small clutch, and statement jewelry elevate any dress to instant formal wear. Complete the look with make-up and styled hair

 Summer

Nothing is worse in the summer heat than the feeling of your clothes constricting your body. So airy, light, and flowy clothes are a must when the hot weather rolls around. Maxi dresses make for easy summer fashion that keeps you feeling fresh. Choose a calf or knee-length hem for an added sense of freedom.

Because you are unlikely to layer during the summer, choose a bright and eye-catching dress. For a day out, pair with a complimentary summer tote bag, sunglasses, and white sneakers. Throw it over your swimsuit and accessorize with a straw hat and sandals for the ultimate vacation look.

 Fall

Whatever you wear, transitional items—combining pieces from summer and winter to create functional and versatile fashion—are the focus of fall fashion. The same logic applies here. Finding dresses in browns, oranges, and reds to match the fall color palette is an excellent starting point

For a casual day look, pair your summer sneakers with a long-length maxi dress and a stylish denim jacket. Wear an oversized knitted sweater and combat boots to a girls' brunch look.

 Winter

Styling a maxi dress in winter is all about layers. It is the simplest and most sophisticated way to stay warm during the cold weather but also be functional and take you from day to night. Traditionally, a winter palette features darker tones and less patterned pieces. You can continue this tradition and add pops of color to your outfit through accessories. Or you can stand out by making your dress a statement color.

Regardless of what you choose, opt for a different style regarding sleeve length or neckline cut. For example, match a long sleeve v-neck cut with a calf-length winter coat and knee-length boots for the ultimate date–night. Or wear a turtleneck under a thin-shoulder strap dress, adding a jacket on top and ankle boots.

 Spring

As mentioned before, with fall, spring is another season that acts as a transitional time of year when it comes to your wardrobe. The days are getting longer, and the temperatures are starting to heat up. However, there is usually still a slight chill in the evening air.

Chase off this lingering winter chill by pairing a classic black or navy blue maxi dress with a stylish blazer and wedge heels for an evening out. Or slip on a plain white tee underneath your clothing, a straw hat, and booties for a morning at the market.

Tips

When looking for the ideal maxi dress to fit you, there are a few things to consider. Fabric quality, style, and colors must be considered when wearing this piece. Solid colors and thicker materials are considered more appropriate for office wear. You might also consider higher necklines and wearing a smart jacket over your dress to comply with dress codes.
